It is time to revise what this challenge has done for me. Anne Mirtschin (Murcha) left some questions for reflection in the last activity of the challenge. How can we stay networked? How can the conversations continue? Why has this challenge been important to you and your blog? What impact has it had? What worked well and why?
I think I will start in the middle. This challenge has been important to me because it made me start writing here again. It also got me connected to a whole lot of people, reading each others blogs and comments has been so much fun. It has also been important since I have learned a lot about how to spice up my blog and also where to go and get information to continue working on the layout, such as pages, sidebar, widgets and all of that stuff that we have busied ourselves with over the last weeks.
I think most of it worked well. I am still a bit sad though that I haven't gotten my Voki to work, but I will have another try soon. I am so happy that all these fantastic bloggers, newbies as well as more experienced ones, has shared their blogs and comments. Thanks everyone! I think everything has worked so well, since when you get into one of these things you are set on sharing, experiencing and learning. How do we get there with our students?
I hope to stay connected through our blogs - I hope we will continue challenge each other and share our findings and ideas. It has been a great experience to me and I can't wait until the next challenge starts - if you can do it without students that is. In between I am planning on starting building my swedish lessons!
Great reflection! Can't believe it's over, either. Please keep in touch! I will be doing the project from students in Lövgärdet this month! Check back at my blog to see how it's going!

I'm glad you've returned to blogging cause I never would have found your blog otherwise. Your reflections are interesting. I think trying to maintain and expand my network online will be my greatest challenge.

ReplyDeleteThe challenge sure has been very worthwhile, immediately you give me the idea that I should write my own post about the challenge reflecting on what I have learned and how I have changed.
What is the problem with adding the voki? As I have the blogger platform I am interested, I have it working on my site. I can't remember what I did, but I can check it out if you want and let you know.

Anna,
ReplyDeleteI finally made it to your blog and enjoyed looking around. I had the same experience as you during the challenge--so much motivation to write. My blog had been sitting lonely for most of the past year. Have a great time with your Swedish classes. Keep writing!
Blessings,
Denise Krebs

Hi Anna, and think so many of us feel as you do. It is fabulous that you have written a reflective post for us all to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI am behind in the challenge and still have two posts to catch up on, but I know that it is really important for me to reflect to. Thanks for working with us all on this challenge.
Anna, did you get the comment above of someone willing to help you embed the voki into your blog. If you still cannot succeed I will try and get someone to help you.
Challenges like this one allow us to expand our networks, for sure, and also, to narrow our focus on our sites. Sometimes, it takes an outsider to say, What are you doing with your space and what does it all mean? I know I get caught up in the daily writing. I liked the opportunity to step back.
