Some thoughts on what to tell

The challenge with the About-Me-Page got me thinking about privacy and what to tell and what not to tell online.
 
I always find it hard to draw the line between what is too personal and what adds some extra spice to your portrait. I think this is a question that we have to discuss with our students, if we want them to do their own blogging. I really like the idea of starting out with a class blog, where you can discuss issues like these as your building the blog together. Sometimes I get really scared when I read what some of my (adult) friends post on Facebook. Or hear what people talk about on their cell phone while commuting to work or school ... It is as if we don’t recognize what privacy is anymore.
